Working with Alex and Jordan was such a pleasure. Although we were cut down on the time we had for planning and almost all communication, I really couldn't be happier with this set of images as well as the joy I have for them and this special time in their lives.
To help tell this story, I'll elaborate on some cool behind the scenes facts. I'll start by saying Alex and I only talked once before the shoot and it was only for a total of four minutes. Cathy, who is one of Alex's family members was my contact and she relayed any information I had for Alex to him when Jordan wasn't near by. The plan was to act like a we were doing a complete family shoot and that I would be working with each family separately starting with Alex and Jordan. Once I took them through some poses and found a shot location I was happy with, I gave Alex the cue to ask his daughter to go grab the sign from another family member that said, "Will you marry daddy?". In case you are curious, the cue for Alex was me asking him how long they had been together.
